I think it's great when they turn out these parts too. Although it drives down prices on my good ol used stuff a bit. But I always feel bad for them because the Chinese folks who are making these for them will be putting their own unbranded parts out there soon enough...undercutting CHP...using the design that CHP paid to have made. Maybe even using the very same tooling.

For folks like me that's great. I am not a stickler for OEM if there is a quality aftermarket available; especially if it saves me some coin. I am not holding my breath but really hope they come out with some decent repop headlight ears some day

From what I understand, CHP is in the process of making the headlight ears for 73 - 76 CT's. Last I heard, which was in May or June, the prototype was running way behind schedule. In other words, it's in the pipeline.

Not sure about the painted one's with the extra tab for the horn used on the 77 and up.

Tough call, using those pix alone. Best guess, it is repairable...to a skilled hand. Hard to say if this is better as a restoration project or a restomod/custom bike to be ridden. The mangled TL bracket and AWOL engine will cost way more than $395 to replace. It could take some time to find a "numbers-matching" engine, or LH case with the desired SN that could be built into a complete motor. H-motors don't exactly grow on trees. OTOH, K1 is the best of the early model frames, significantly more durable than K0 and that's a big plus for real rider.

Maybe offer $200 and see if it's accepted. If the frame is actually a turd, there should be more than enough to recoup the cost of acquisition, including shipping, maybe net a small profit.
