Darn! I was hoping there was actually a numbers matching one out there somewhere
There is a member here with exact matching frame and motor numbers. I personally own a 74 with motor 1 digit higher than frame.

Just got my first CT70. It does not have the neck tag so I am trying to determine build month/year. The VIN is CT70-275244, engine is 274943. Based on those it was built probably somewhere between 5/71 to 8/71. I was wondering if anyone had a VIN close to mine so I can try and confirm build month.

Thanks

Chris

I found 2 older ones in another post.
273580 & 273758. Both 6/71
I know it doesn't help pinpoint a date.
Yours could have been built on 6/30/71 or 7/1/71.

I agree. I will keep poking around to see if I can find a VIN larger in 6/71 or a VIN smaller in in 7/71 to confirm which month.

Thanks

I whish I had a picture of the #'s on the 71 CT70 I sold for a friend this summer it was 9 digits off from being a matching number bike. The closest I've ever seen on a Honda.

I met a guy a Baber's vintage festival last year who said he had a matching # bike when he was overseas in the militay, in the 70s. But he said he's yet to see another matching number honda.

My MR 250 engine is one higher than it's frame, but my 50 must have the record on this board as being 5559 off;) I have thought the more produced it seems the farther apart the numbers are.
