Does anyone know how much a 1970 CT70KO weighs? I've search a ton on the internet and can't find out anywhere.
Thank you so much! I was looking at the new 2021 Honda Trail 125 ABS They are very cool. Retro looking but all the modern improvements. To buy it I'd have to sell the CT70 (least used out of my bikes, and wife will require it, lol) Much better than that Cub 125 they released awhile back. Problem is they are 259 pounds That's with fluids so about 250 pounds dry as a gallon of gas weighs 6 pounds. Funny how the little Honda write-up says, "Low Weight." I like the color of the Trail 125 ABS Hunter much better than the Honda Red. 250 lbs. is way to heavy for a 125cc engine though.
Oops. Typo, but yours off by 30 Lbs.I have a 190 lb. S90 that works for me. I think your estimate of the dry weight is off by about 70 lbs. too light.

I was surprised the manual said the CT70 was that light. I have 4 bikes and it feels heavier than my '01 XR100 (169 pounds), and that has the street legal kit on it.Back in the day all manufacturers were not entirely honest with their weights. My MR is listed at 248 and feels way heavier. If it's equal or less to the 125 I'd be very surprised. I should get the scale out some time and weigh all mine rather than go by their figures.
I would think a K1-later would be heavier than a K0, just because of the fork upgrade alone. I can live with that.lolA 1994 CT70 with the new style front end, turn signals and heavier bmx handle bars ARE a lot heavier than a light weight KO pogo front end. I believe it IS 161.4 lbs.
Wow! Thanks for taking the time and trouble to do that! I have a '70 CT70KO (Blue), and I've been looking for a '69 or '70 Z50 for awhile because in 1969 my dad bought me and my brother a Blue one when I was a Freshman in High School. I've seen a lot of nice ones for sale, but they were either yellow or red, and I HAVE to have Blue. Not only to match my CT70 but because that's the color that ours was.I went out today and officially weighed my 50 and 70. I first weighed myself on a digital scale to check for accuracy-this old scale was within 1 lb. The 50 has about 1qt of gas and other than a speedometer it totally stock. Owners manual say's it 110 it came in at 112. 70 has a half gallon of fuel,a 85 kit on a H engine, also has a rack and tool kit. Book says 143.3 scale says a hair over 152. I think that close enough at least on the mini's

Have to wonder about the color breakdown, can't recall ever seeing that in any Honda factory publication.I'm surprised your finding more yellows. I thought that Jeremy mentioned in his book that yellow was the least produced. Is everyone holding on to the blue ones or are they repainting them in the lessor 2 colors? My best friend had a blue one,I'm sure my parents didn't want me to have the same. I suppose the blue was the most popular but surprising to me anyway they used the yellow in almost all the literature. I didn't even find this until after I got my 70,notice the badges on the 50.

I see ads sometimes and they want more than CT70's for them.I'm surprised your finding more yellows. I thought that Jeremy mentioned in his book that yellow was the least produced.
